I purchased this DVD set about a week ago after visiting this website and viewing the video excerpts. I needed to pay by money order, and after a brief and pleasant e-mail exchange with a representative from Real People Press, they sent me my DVD set within three days (by my estimate) of receiving my payment by mail.
After receiving the DVD's, I tested them in someone else's cranky DVD player. The DVD replication process that Real People Press used on these DVD's must be worth something, because the DVD's play without skips or pauses. The picture and sound quality are very good, too. I can see and hear nuances. The camera work during the seminar was good - no body parts are cut off the screen when they should not be. One minor complaint is that the video appears to be digital, and recorded in a way that reduces picture quality somewhat when fast motion occurs on the screen, but it's not very noticeable. Another complaint is that the video editing includes a few spots where frames are purposefully cut and no transition is put between them. It's a disconcerting effect, but it was not done often enough to really be a distraction. With all that said, these are the best quality NLP videos I have ever watched, and I have watched many over the years.
Actually, I am watching some of the DVD material more than once because I do not want to watch past the exercises before I have time and space to do them, so I am only about halfway through a first viewing of the complete set. Because my initial viewing of this DVD set is by myself, I read the CT book chapter "Going Solo" for advice. It has been helpful to use the forms and instructions included in the binder that came with the DVD's, so that I focus on doing the exercises.
Tamara Andreas communicates with humor, kindness, and (something I especially like) thoroughness. She presents Core Transformation clearly and cleanly. The questions I have after doing the exercises end up asked (and answered) after the exercise stopping point on the DVDs. Tamara's stories also answer additional interesting questions that arise as I think over some of my experiences doing the exercises.
All the participants in the seminar on videotape are getting something out of it, and are changing as a result of what Tamara is doing, so I do follow "along for the ride" as Tamara puts it, while I watch the exercise demonstrations. My exercise experiences have been easy and fun, and some things are really changing for me in just this first viewing of the DVD tape set. What I have worked with so far have been smaller issues, according to the suggestions that Tamara gave to start with smaller issues, but some of the changes that have happened for me made my bigger issues seem more approachable, and I am looking forward to making CT and APP work an ongoing part of my life.
Overall, this is an excellent seminar set, and I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
