Great story. I have found that the assumption there is a solution often is a powerful tool for arriving at one. There is a Buddhist practice (mentioned in one of the Dan Brown books) that involves asking oneself, "How did I solve this?" This introduces the idea that you have solved the problem previously, and so gets your mind looking for that solution.

This is an excellent article. I always believe that fear can be controlled by the person experiencing the fear. That is, with a little outside intervention (example: you) and support from his or her friends and relatives. Learn to open up and be honest to yourself is also a key to freeing yourself from that fear.

Also, I love that first line. If that was indeed their motto, then they must be really courageous even in times of danger.

What a refreshingly clear 'blueprint' if you will, of some of how you think when your assisting others with how they're thinking.

I enjoyed this very much, thanks for writing it.

Excellent piece, Steve. I enjoyed it. And the anecdote at the start was brilliant!

BTW, thanks for recommending us to Steve Lim of Malaysia. I wrote him, suggesting he contact an ex-colleague of ours who runs Practitioner programmes. I cc'd you that email but it bounced. (4 times!) :-)

All the best.
